"I'm not part of a corporate church. But all dates have been wrong concerning Christs physical 2nd coming and final physical destruction of this world. Enormous amounts of people aren't ignorant of this matter, including Harold Camping who repented of his own conclusion of this. We know that the dates set forth; May 21, 2011, October 21, 2011, October 7, 2015, that the Lord Jesus Christ did not return physically, nor was the world completely destroyed, because we are all here chit chatting. No one knows any exact date pertaining to the day, hour, or year of Christs 2nd physical coming, and physical destruction of this world as of now. This was my original intent of the comment in this post. Raymond Balchi, doesn't know, Ebiblefellowship doesn't know, the whole world doesn't know. But again, one things that for certain, and that is 3 dates set were wrong. My conclusion is simple and clear. You don't know the Day, hour, or year of Christs 2nd physical coming and physical destruction of this world to date. So, you don't know. Fact.....In addition, to make end time date setting as the central theme of God's salvation plan, is very dangerous. Harold Camping sounded like this before May 21, 2011 and I had to turn him off. He was repeating himself over and over like a broken record. I'm fearing, and am seeing the same fruit here with Ebible more and more. The broken record sounding. Certainly salvation doesn't depend, isn't contingent on knowing specific dates. And certainly, end time theology shouldn't be all that God's sheep need to hear. I hope I made myself clearer in understanding my original comment. Physical, Physical, Physical 2nd coming, physical final destruction of this world. When??"

First of all, regarding your statement that EBF is making a date a central theme of discussion I, and some others have been responding to your comments on date setting and the supposed errors of it. Many times we discuss the timeline of history and end time things because it is in direct response to a question or comment that an EBF listener has brought up. We also respond (in detail) to questions and comments on other doctrines, such as Christ slain at the foundation of the world. The unsealing of the Scriptures at this time of the end. Election over against free will gospel.

A woman’s role in teaching. Qualifications for deacons and elders, etc. etc.

Yet many listeners are interested in learning about and discussing end time things from the Bible-wonder why? Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that all the Biblical sign posts for the end are unquestionably in place-and maybe it also has something to do with the fact that the world is falling to pieces right before all of our eyes. That might be what is leading God’s people to ask and comment about end time passages of Scripture.

Also, it is the same for Gods people who teach the Bible at this time. We see all the Biblical sign posts in place and the totally apostate church along with the thick darkness of the world as well as the Biblical calendar of history laying out an amazing time line right over top of it all-more over it is a time line that is incredibly following the first coming of Christ step by step or year by year. Yes. That might have something to do with the focus on the end since it is indeed the time we’re living at.

Secondly, the theological term is the bodily coming” of Jesus Christ. This is not physical. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Christ showed forth a physical body after His resurrection only for the purposes of demonstrating the fact He had risen from the dead. But that was not His resurrected body He received when He rose from the dead at the foundation of the world.

The Bible tells us when we are resurrected that we will receive a new resurrected SPIRITUAL body:

1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

And since our new resurrected bodies will be patterned after Christ’s own body-Jesus had to have a resurrected spiritual body Himself:

1 John 3: 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And,

Philippians 3: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

This changes everything insofar as “seeing” Jesus coming in the clouds is concerned. While it is true that Jesus shewed forth a body during His first coming in order to manifest the atonement performed at the foundation of the world; and while it is also true He showed forth a physical body after His resurrection for the same reason-we should not expect this to be the case when it comes to His final appearing as the Judge of this world.

Spiritual things (like Christ’s resurrected body from the foundation of the world) are invisible things. Physical things (like our earthly bodies) are visible things. Therefore, God accomplishing a spiritual judgment beginning with the churches, and transitioning on the whole world on the date of May 21, 2011 is befitting the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ-in His new spiritual body form.

Matthew 24: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Christ has come already-like a thief in the night. First to judge the churches in a prolonged period of judgment. And then to judge the world, also in a prolonged period of judgment. His coming has been in the clouds. Do you know what clouds represent in the Bible? They represent the commandments of God (see Numbers chapter 9). Christ has come in His commandments. And His commandments are found in the Bible. Christ has come on the pages of the Bible as God has revealed His coming to His elect. You see knowing matters of time and judgment is essential for seeing His coming in the clouds.

John 12: 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: THE WORD that I have spoken, the same SHALL JUDGE HIM in the last day.

While you’re waiting for that physical” last day-sorrowfully you’re missing the entire 40 (inclusive) year second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. You’re not seeing (understanding) it. And by not seeing it you are not in good company because neither are the unsaved masses of the world and church seeing it.
