When the Jubilee Draweth
The word "trumpet" in this verse is yobel, the word for Jubilee.
Exodus 19:13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.
And the Hebrew word that's translated as "soundeth long" is the word that is often used in the sense of "drawing". It is the same word as in:
Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I DRAWN thee.
And,
Song of Solomon 1:4 DRAW me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.
Therefore, we can read Exodus 19:13 this way:
"... when the Jubilee draweth – they shall come up to the mount".
