Science Helped to Keep Spiritually Ignorant People Content in Their Ignorance

Portion of a comment made in EBF's "Atheists are Without Excuse" group:

EBF reply:

Science like men can become women? Or the science of origins that has no explanation for origins? Or is it evolution science which preaches miracles on a scale (for every single creature in existence) way beyond anything the Bible records. An absurd theory because it puts forth miracles and denies that there is any miracle worker to perform them.

I do agree, however, with the statement that the human race is divided into 2 categories. God teaches this in the Bible. There are those predestined to be saved – called the elect. Whose

numbers are few. And then there are those not elected to obtain salvation – the non-elect. Whose numbers are many.

Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

The Lord uses the figure of twin sons to illustrate the difference He has made with the human race:

Romans 9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

According to His election program, God chose to love Jacob. And to hate Esau. These twin boys are the figureheads for all mankind.

Either we are of the nation of Esau (also called Edom); or we are of the nation of Jacob. Two nations are all there is in the world:

Genesis 25:22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of the LORD.

23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

The elder (Esau/Edom) will serve the younger (Jacob).

Soon, God will lift His elect people up out of this world and change us into entirely new spiritual creatures. We will then dwell in the new creation He will have formed and live forever in eternal bliss.

The sons of Esau/Edom will not "evolve" as it were into new spiritual creatures. In their fleshly form they will be fully unequipped to enter the spiritual realm of existence and so will be destroyed (die out) by God.

Science, the study of natural phenomena, will have served little purpose for the poor masses of people who will perish at their end. Science, by its design, is unable to discern and study spiritual things. Ultimately, it served to keep spiritually ignorant people content in their ignorance.
