The Excuse and Error of Referring to the Foundation of the World in Order to Avoid the Hard Fact of Judgment Day!
Q1. Since God has paid for the sins of His people at the foundation of the world does this mean that people on desert islands who never heard the Word in their lifetimes could have been saved? After all, payment for sins at the foundation of the world supersedes whether or not one has actually heard the Word of God.
A1. No. It means that God would have brought the Word to any whose sins were paid for at the foundation of the world. And if the Lord did not bring the Word to certain islands and people for generations, it would mean that they were not among those elect that Christ died for at the foundation of the world. Christ's atonement at the foundation of the world must work in harmony with every other truthful doctrine of the Bible – such as the fact that God saved through the hearing of His Word (Romans 10:17).
Q2. Since Jesus paid for the sins of His people at the foundation of the world, does it mean that people within the churches could have been saved while remaining in the church at the time when God ended the Church Age and called His people out of the world's churches and congregations? After all, payment for sins at the foundation of the world supersedes whether or not one is within a church.
A2. No. It means that God would have mercifully called and commanded His elect people to come out of the churches and go into the nations where the latter rain was falling and where the atoning blood of Christ could be applied to their soul and they could then experience the salvation Christ accomplished on their behalf. Further, it would mean any remaining within the congregations were never God's elect people for whom Christ died at the foundation of the world.
Christ's atonement at the foundation of the world does not supersede but rather work in harmony with God's program of times and seasons.
Q3. Since Jesus paid for sins at the foundation of the world, does this mean that we cannot say that God is no longer saving people since the date of May 21, 2011? After all, doesn't Jesus' sacrifice at the world's foundation supersede a date?
A3. No. It means that God would have completed the salvation of all those predestinated to obtain it by the date of May 21, 2011. Again, Christ's atonement performed at the foundation of the world does not supersede but instead works in harmony with God's overall program of times and seasons. God cannot be contrary to His own plan regarding times for early rain (Church Age) and latter rain (2nd part of great tribulation period concluding on May 21, 2011).
