Significantly, in Daniel chapter 3, a chapter which is an historical parable describing the events of the Great Tribulation, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are each mentioned 13 times.
Coincidence?

It just so happens that in the year 1988 (13,000th year of earth's history) the Great Tribulation began and continued for 23 years.
